Teenager nabbed possessing illegal fire arm
A drunken 17-year-old boy ended up in jail yesterday for illegal possession of fire arms and attempted robbery.
Police Supt. Nelson Teodor Yabot, said that PO2 Angelito Gamboa David of DTOC Manila Police District arrested the suspect at around 1:30 a.m. and was brought to the station together with the jeepney driver, Dindo Nobleza.
Yabot said that Gamboa rode a Divisoria bound jeep at around 12:15 a.m. at UN Avenue, Ermita, Manila.
The two companion of the suspect who rode the jeep earlier went off upon noticing the presence of a police.
Minutes later, the suspect entered the jeep along Escolta St. Binondo, Manila and sat beside the three teenagers.
Yabot said that Gamboa acted at once and arrested the suspect upon noticing that the teenagers were being robbed.
The victims recovered their valuables, while the police recovered a.38 caliber (without trademark) from the suspect.
Afterwards, the suspect was brought to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center for medical examination and found out that positive for alcohol.
Yabot said the suspect was referred to the Inquest Prosecutor for further investigation and proper disposition. Attempted robbery might also be charged to the suspect. Maanne Lopez
