Skeleton found in DoT
A skeleton was found at the compound of the Department of Tourism (DoT) on Friday afternoon.
Detective Crispin Ocampo of Manila Police District-Homicide Section said construction workers identified as Angelito Teves and Berth Picasio discovered the skeleton around 3 p.m. while digging.
Ocampo said the DoT has an ongoing construction of new fence to which Teves and Picasio is working.
The gender of the bones could not be distinguished, said the detective, but the M1 Garand rifle and mortar shell recovered together with the body implies the body was buried during the war time.
Moreover, the skeleton was brought to Universal Funeral Homes for safe keeping and for further investigation. Maanne Lopez
