Beggar found dead in Sta. Cruz Manila
A lifeless body of a 58-year-old-beggar was found in front of Barangay Day Care Center at Doroteo Jose corner S. Reyes, Sta. Cruz, Manila Tuesday afternoon.
Identification card recovered identified the victim as Wilfredo B. Celubrico, a resident of 136-B J.P. Rizal St. Blk 6, Tondo, Manila.
Case investigator PO3 Cris Ocampo said in a report that barangay fire volunteer Robinson Seto have seen the victim alive around 12 noon at the same place a day before.
A report from the Manila Police District said that Seto was shocked to discover the victim’s body around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday clad in black pants, blue shirt and a pair of rubber slippers.
The fire volunteer upon discovery reported it to the barangay chairman and police for investigation.
Although no suspects in particular were identified and no signs of external physical injuries were found in the cadaver, police continue investigating for possible foul play.
